Student Data Privacy

Our goal is to ensure all students graduate with the technological knowledge and skills to succeed in a dynamic and complex global society. We believe that all students should use digital resources in rich and meaningful ways in support of this goal.

New Canaan Public Schools is also committed to protecting students' privacy as they engage in a rigorous and safe educational experience. To this end, we are dedicated to reviewing all digital resources used by the district to ensure that they are safe and secure resources for our students and staff. We comply with all state and federal requirements regarding student data and follow a careful review process when considering new instructional or curricular resources.

These pages are intended to serve as a resource for answering questions that you may have regarding a variety of student data privacy matters. You will also find a comprehensive list of all reviewed digital resources by clicking on the Digital Resources List on the left side of the page.

If you have any questions regarding student data privacy, please do not hesitate to contact me.
